127 Hours -- Update

I was very bummed yesterday when I went to check showtimes for the new movie 127 Hours, directed by Danny Boyle and starring James Franco.  After months of anticipation on my part I found out that it is only in limited release.  While it opens today, it is only showing in L.A. and NYC.  The film continues to open in other cities around the country and in Canada but it never coming closer than Salt Lake City.
I was excited about seeing this film for a couple of reasons.  First I enjoy Danny Boyle films.  He always brings an interesting film style to his movies.  He did, of coarse, win an Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire in 2008.  The second reason was that I'm familiar with the story of 127 Hours.  It is based on a true story of a man that gets stuck in a Utah canyon for 5 days, his arm wedged under a rock.  After running out of food and water, he eventually amputates his own arm to free himself.  The story of survival is a great one.  From the reviews I have ready so far, people are talking about how the main point of the movie is how strong the will to live can be.  Maybe I'll make it to SLC for a showing, hopefully won't have to wait for the DVD.
