Backpacking Preview

Planning a trip to The Tetons. This trip is going to be unique, not going to be driving to Jackson. Instead we are taking a trip to the West side of the Range and camping in the Jedediah Smith Wilderness. I wanted to hike and camp here for a couple reason: 1. no permit required to camp in the wilderness area, 2. great views from Table Mountain. Here is a map of the proposed route. The actual hike is about 17 miles total.

  1. No fair...I'll be with you in spirit. You should post some photos of what you will be seeing. Are you going to have the cathedral's in sight?

  2. front and center. We will be half a mile away from the top of Table Mountain. Table mountain is at the top of Cascade Canyon, were we stayed the night. So it is going to be great views.
